The Lightseed Walker

Some say that in the Aurora Fern realm
there is a traveler who appears
at the beginning of many journeys.

He does not give directions.
He does not offer answers.

Sometimes he simply lights a small flame
and stands quietly nearby.

Some people notice the light.
Some do not.

Those who notice it
often take a few more steps.

Those who do not
continue walking as before.

The world remains the same.

But sometimes, much later,
someone turns around
and realizes that the small light
had always been there.
