Fragments from AF Universe
念 Thoughts
Some attachments
are not born from greed.
Sometimes,
they come from hurting for so long
that I no longer dare to admit—
some waiting
will never have an answer.
People are not unable to let go of the outcome.
More often,
what they cannot let go of is this:
“If none of this meant anything,
then what was all my effort for?”
The hardest form of impermanence to accept
is not someone leaving.
It is the day
you realize
you are no longer the person you once were.
The cruelest thing about impermanence
is that it rarely warns you first.
Many relationships
end quietly
inside an ordinary conversation.
Do I mostly live in reality
and occasionally escape into fantasy—
or have I been living inside illusions all along,
only waking up once in a while?
The greatest ignorance
is not not knowing.
It is believing too early
that we already know.
It is not that we cannot see the truth.
Most of the time,
we are simply trying to protect
the version we need to believe.
Sometimes confusion
does not come from knowing too little.
It comes from realizing
the things we once believed
can no longer hold themselves together.

Nodes are Circles
I no longer search
for a single final destination.
Wherever I arrive,
completion can exist there too.
I look toward the light
not to reach it—
but to choose.
To move forward,
to turn back,
or to become it.
Once I began seeing each node as complete,
I no longer move forward
because it’s “not enough.”
I can still keep walking—
not to arrive,
but simply because
I want to.
I still desire things.
But I no longer need them.
This changes everything.
I still choose.
But no longer
to be right.
If the path no longer fits,
I turn.
Not because I failed—
but because paths change too.
I still move.
Just no longer
for the sake of arriving.

If There Were No…
If There Were No Power
If no one wanted to rule over anyone,
would the world become more peaceful?
Or would no one be willing to take responsibility?
If There Were No Money
If everything were free,
would people become more free?
Or would we lose the way we measure value and exchange?
If There Were No Distance
If you could see anyone the moment you wished to,
would longing still exist?
Would waiting still have meaning?
If There Were No Boundaries
If everyone were completely honest,
with no secrets,
no privacy,
would that be freedom—
or another kind of prison?
If There Were No Time
If there were no past,
and no future,
would we finally be free?
Or would we lose the meaning of becoming?
If There Were No Birth, Aging, Sickness, or Death
If nothing ever began,
and nothing ever ended,
would suffering disappear?
Or would life lose its urgency?
If There Were No Memory
If every moment stood alone,
untouched by what came before,
would we be lighter?
Or would we no longer know who we are?
If There Were No Loneliness
If we never felt alone,
would we feel more connected?
Or would we stop searching for one another?

Daily Life
Waiting in Line
When the line moves slowly,
what am I really waiting for?
Not time.
Maybe fairness.
Maybe respect.
Maybe I just want to get home.
